Popularly known as Department of Basic principles. Ayurveda originated as part of Vedic sciences. All the original texts of Ayurveda were compiled in Sanskrit. So, the knowledge of Sanskrit language is compulsory to learn Ayurveda.

All the popular Samhitas like ‘Charak Samhita’, ‘Sushruta Samhita’ and ‘Ashtang Sangrah’, all 3 Samhitas collectively known as Great Triads are also taught this department.

Ayurved has gone through several stages of development in its long history from Brahma – the creator of the universe of this modern era. Now Ayurved is a part of new movements towards a global medicine that includes the best development in the medicines of all lands. This history of Ayurved is taught to the students through this department.

There are five basic elements of Panchamahabhutas vi3 Earth, Water, Fire, Wind and Space. Every element in this universe is made up of these five elements so the body of the human. Three doshas are the physiological factors of the body. Such principles are related to the subject Padarth Vigyan popularly known as Metaphysics is also taught through this department.
